Sponsors Terminate Contract With Kenyan Sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala

Sports managing company DBA (Dream, Believe, Achieve) Africa has cut short their partnership with Kenyan athlete Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala.

The sporting company in a press release today the company highlighted the achievements that the sprinter made while with them.

According to the company they have played a role for him participating in local and international competitions including the championship that made him famous.

“From 27th September 2021, DBA Africa ceased the association with Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala. We are proud to have played a huge role in enabling him to compete around the continent resulting in attaining 4 qualifying times for the Tokyo Olympic Games and achieving many National Records and Personal Bests,” read the press release.

The company later wished the Kenyan athlete all the best in his future endeavors without revealing the reason the reason why they decided to part ways.

“We would like to take this opportunity to wish Ferdinand well in his future career,” continued part of the statement.

In an interview with the media DBA Africa Programs Director Lylle Asiligwa said that there was a break of communication between the two.

“Going forward we do not share the same vision. Omanyala has not been in constant communication with us but we wish him well in the future,” he said.

The company also said that the sprinter approached them in December 2020 and the two have been working together since.
