Nairobi Members of County Assembly (MCAs) are vehemently denouncing the external influences orchestrating unfounded accusations against Governor Johnson Sakaja, branding them as a spurious attempt to initiate an impeachment process based on incompetence.

Led by California Ward Representative notably Hashim Kamau, the City’s legislators assert that the allegations leveled against Sakaja lack substance and are inadequate to warrant the initiation of an impeachment procedure.

Hashim Kamau asserted, “This impeachment is destined to fail and holds no ground in this Assembly. It is imperative that we afford Sakaja the time to fulfill his commitment to delivering essential services to the residents of Nairobi.”

Hashim also condemned his counterparts for being used to disrupt the Governor by collecting signatures to remove Sakaja from office.

This stance follows closely on the heels of a viral video featuring MCA Joel Munuve of Kariobangi North, where he purportedly aims to unseat Governor Sakaja.

Munuve alleges that Sakaja is embroiled in corruption scandals.

Further, the MCA is raising concerns over the prolonged delay in disbursing Bursary Funds, adding another layer of discontent to the situation.

The MCAs drawn from the both political divides are united in their condemnation of what they perceive as a concerted effort fueled by external interests to undermine Governor Sakaja’s leadership, insisting on allowing him the opportunity to fulfill his responsibilities to the citizens of Nairobi.
