Professor Stanley Khainga has decamped ODM for Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC to vie for Lurambi Constituency Member of Parliament.
The renown plastic surgeon was accompanied by his team and Malava MP Malulu Injendi and was warmly received by the party leader.
Khainga is now confident of edging out the incumbent Bishop Khamala.
Bishop Titus Khamala has been largely viewed as a non starter in the equal distribution of bursaries, utilization of sports funds as well as environment money.
Lurambi residents have incessantly questioned the standard of his CDF projects as compared to the formidable buildings in Ikolomani and Khwisero led by Hon. Shinali and Hon. Aseka respectively.
Professor Khainga has promised to be loyal to the party and resolved to work hard to serve the people of Lurambi
“I have officially joined the ANC Party. And I will be loyal just like I was loyal in the other party. The journey now begins. Lurambi deserves better. My resolve is clear. I am new, and the new things must come to fruition,” said Khainga.
This is a blow to Azimio as he was a loyal member of ODM. Prof. Khainga comes to ANC with almost the whole of the ODM supporters he enjoyed while the Patron of the Lurambi Branch.
“Bishop Khamala is among the traitors who betrayed we the people of Kakamega and lied to the electorate about “Shikilia Eshibungui” loosely translated eshiefu ni eshiefu or Luhya RENAISSANCE,” said one of the voters.
The voters say Khamala knows that the ground is not safe for him and that is why he left for Azimio but they have vowed to teach him a lesson come August 9.
