Detectives from the Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Nyali are in hunt for a foreign national who allegedly killed a woman by throwing her off a balcony from his apartment bedroom.
The suspect is presently in the wind after fleeing the scene following the 3am incident which caused panic among other holiday makers at the Sunny Side apartments.
According to a police report, a guard at the apartment conducting his routine inspections heard screams followed by a loud bang a few meters away.
Upon approaching the scene, he found a half-dressed woman lying lifeless in a pool of her own blood.
The guard, Parsaoti Ole Morinket, rushed towards the janitor’s room and informed him of the incident before they rushed back to the scene together.
The two identified the deceased as a 25-year-old woman who had earlier on been invited to a room occupied by a man named Sulaiman Mayanja.
They then rushed to the room and found the man missing, after which they alerted detectives based in Nyali who responded immediately.
The body of the deceased was rushed to a morgue in the area, with a manhunt since launched for the suspect.
The incident comes barely a day after a man and a woman allegedly jumped from an apartment in Mtwapa under mysterious circumstances.
