Gengetone musician Nonini has come out to defend fellow musician Juliani after he was trolled for being broke.
In a long instagram post, the musician wondered why people called Juliani a broke person yet he is among the rich artist in Kenya.
He also said that musicians work hard to earn their money and do not depend on monthly salaries like Governors.
“It’s funny how people on the internet genuinely think that Juliani is broke. Obviously musicians we are self employed and hustle hard for our paper not the constant Governor monthly money of course and perks but seriously, over the past decade or so, the dude has remained the most sought-after and is easily one of the most commercially successful artists of our generation,” Wrote Nonini.
He also said that Juliani earns up to 20 million but people only refer to him as a broke person because he goes back to his old hood.
“This is the same guy who used to make up to KES 20 million annually from his music check my interview with him on. And people on the net are calling him BROKE because he’s always kept in touch with his roots? This guy has a project that he fully funded in D!” he added.
