Nairobi MCAs in the Frontline for Mass Voter Registration

IEBC has officially announced that they are scheduled to begin voter registration on October 4, 2021.

On Wednesday, September 22, the commission announced that they are targeting over 6m new voters ahead of the 2022 General Election.

The mass voter registration exercise shall be conducted for 30 days from the date the exercise shall commence.

โ€œThe commission targets 6M unregistered voters, especially youth 18 years and above and they only need to have their ID for purposes of registration and voting for the 4th October rollout of voter registration,โ€ read the commissionโ€™s report.

Different leaders have continuously urged Kenyans especially the youth to be registered as voters
Addressing the media Kware Ward MCA, Hon Rose Kula has urged residents in Embakasi to come out in Large numbers and be registered ahead of the 2022 elections.

” I want to Urge the boys and girls who finished their high school studies and those who have joined the next level of study that on 4th of October there will be Voter registration,” she posed.

“When you have been registered, you’ll choose the leader that you want and if you haven’t been registered, then you’re not Kenyan,” she added.

She also called on those who are yet to take identification cards to contact her office to be taken to Makadara and be helped to get theirs.

” Those who have not picked an ID can contact my office to be helped to get one,”said Kula.
She went ahead and reminded them that during the 2022 voting, they vote her back to ensure she accomplishes the projects she started.

Hon Kula also reminded them to remain peace.
