Nakuru doctor James Gakara who was accused of killing his two children has died while undergoing treatments at the Nakuru Level 5 hospital.
The deceased has been in the Intensive Care Unit from Sunday after he was found unconscious in him home at Milimani in Nakuru.
The gynecologyst was suspected to have killed his two children aged 3 and 5 by injecting them with a chemical substance.
He later tried to commit suicide before he was found by detectives who rushed him to the Nakuru level 5 hospital.
Gakara wa under observation where he was being treated waiting to be questioned and charged with the murder of his children.
However, while he regained consciousness, the doctor admitted to killing his children and attempting to take his life.
Mary, the sister to Gakara said that Gakra loved his family and they were shocked and the rest of the family has been left traumatized.
“Maneno haya ni mazito kufikiria…ndugu yangu hana ubaya na mtu…anapenda familia yake. Hakuna siku aliwahi baki na watoto pekee…maid hukuwa…sisemi hawezi fanya, lakini sielewi na siamini,” stated Mary.
