Father to serial killer Masten Wanjala now says he is not sure if his son died.
In an exclusive interview with Taarifa News,Masten’s father Robert Wanjala said that he is not sure because he has never gone to the mortuary to identify him. He says he will only kick start the burial arrangements after he is sure that he is Dead.
“I am yet to confirm if Masten is Dead, it’s after then that I will kick start the burial arrangements. But am aware a postmortem was conducted,” he said.
Watila said that his death is still a matter of discussion in the family. He maintained as earlier on stated that they’re not ready to bury him.
Wanjala was arrested in Nairobi after he confessed killing 12 children. He was arrested and two days before being presented to court he escaped from Jogoo Road police station.
He then was seen in his home village a day after where he was lynched by a mob.
Watila said he wants an explanation from the police how Masten managed to escape from the police custody.
” There was someone who was pushing my son’s urge to kill children. He confessed to me that he was introduced to cultism by his mother and even asked for forgiveness,” paused Watila.
He also asked the government to help them burry him after the family conducts traditional rituals.
The Bukusu Community Elders said Incase they burry him, it has to be at the river to avoid disturbance by his spirits. This has to be done at night when no one is watching.
