The court is now expected to give way forward on a case filed by The Rastafari Society of Kenya seeking to suspend the law criminalising the use of marijuana in Kenya.
Rastafari Society of Kenya lawyer Shadrack Wambui says the judge handling the case Weldon Korir was on another official duty hence the postponement.
‘‘We were to be given directions last week but that did not happen so we are waiting that to happen on 21st this month.’’ Wambui said.
“The impugned law enacted in 1994 is hostile and intolerant to persons professing the Rastafari faith,” the petition by Rastas reads.
