Televangelist James Ng’ang’a is on the risk of losing the broadcasting rights of Sasa TV.

This is after the Media Council of Kenya(MCK) vowed to take action on Sasa TV for violation of the code of conduct in the practice of journalism.

MCK says that Pastor Ng’ang’a has on numerous occasions uttered offensive words through his sermons that are aired live on the TV stations.

The ‘dirty’ utterances from Pastor Ng’ang’a breach the code of conduct regarding the obscenity, taste and tone of reporting.

“The media house in question breached clause 5 (b) (c) on Accountability and 10 (1) on Obscenity, Taste and Tone in Reporting by allowing a presenter, Apostle James Maina Ng’ang’a in a live broadcast from ‘Jerusalem City Kenya’s at 1024hours where he uttered offensive and unprintable words on-air,” read a statement from MCK.

Pastor James Ng’ang’a has been notorious in giving controversial sermons in his church.

Recently, a video clip of Ng’ang’a bragging about having many women and grandchildren went viral.

In another sermon aired live on Sasa TV, the televangelist warned female nurses against touching his body when he dies.
Before the action taken by MCK, Sasa TV had apologized for the vulgar utterances aired in the live sermons.
