Naivas Supermarket has extended its stores in the Nairobi CBD. The new store will is the retailer’s 6th outlet within the CBD with the other five outlets being; Ronald Ngala, Moi Avenue, Development House, Lifestyle Food market and Muindi Mbingu Express. This will be the 77th store the retailer has opened countrywide.

The outlet covering around 20,000 square feet of trading space is conveniently located along Aga Khan Walk at the famous Uchumi House.

Speaking during the launch, Naivas CCO Willy Kimani said CBD is underserved and the new store will help curb the huge population that transact around CBD on their daily business.

“I reiterate that the city’s population is still underserved, given that at least 3million people work, transit through or transact business within the CBD on a daily basis. This of course means they need to meet their daily shopping needs which we believe the new outlet will provide another strategic location for them to do so,” said Willy Kimani Chief Commercial Officer.

“As always our commitment is to ensure that we deliver a truly authentic Kenyan hospitality and this new outlet will fully deliver on this. This hospitality dictates that you extend a helping hand when you see your neighbor in need. It is for this reason that despite the challenging economic times, Naivas is living up to its brand promise; saves you money, by ensuring shoppers enjoy exclusive sales offers thus proving them with a reprieve against the hard times,” stressed Willy Kimani.

Kimani also said they will be opening two more stores in the next three weeks; in Malindi, Embakasi and Greenspan on 23rd of December.

He further appreciated the President for the curfew vacation saying their sales will improve especially for the 24 hour branches. He promised to stand with their customers in this hard pandemic times.
