The Kenyan Peasant League today hold a peaceful demonstration condemning the government move to lift the ban of GMO foods.
Addressing the media Kenyan Pleasant League boss David Caleb Otieno accused National Bio-safety Authority for not advising the cabinet properly before the ban was lifted.
They have given the government 14days to address their concerns.
“We want to ask the government to conduct safety assessments and consider ..the task-force said that these activities must be supported because we can not have multinationals ..so we have given NBA 14 days to respond because that’s what laws dictates.” David said.
