Governor Kananu, Nairobi Assembly Mourn Departed MCA

Residents of Korogocho Ward and the Nairobi County Assembly are Mourning the demise of Hon Naftali Ogolla Owour who passed on early yesterday morning.

Ogolla was elected as the MCA of Korogocho Ward in 2017 under the ODM ticket.

Sending her condolences to the family, Nairobi Governor Ann Kananu has Eulogized Owour as a forward thinking and hardworking leader.

“I remember Hon. Owuor Ogola as a vibrant member of the Sectoral Committee on Planning and Housing who served his constituents diligently and whole heartedly. The Nairobi County Assembly has lost a great son and a dedicated legislature,” said Kananu.”

On behalf of the people of Nairobi County and on my own behalf, I want to convey my deepest and heartfelt sympathies to Hon. Ogola’s family, friends and his colleagues at the County Assembly. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this trying time,” Kananu added.

The Minority Whip Peter Imwatok On behalf of ODM party has Eulogized him as a respectable legislator who will be missed.

“The untimely demise of a leader of such stature has left the assembly stunned,” Imwatok said.

“He was an elder brother of the house and was upto date with assembly business. We have not only lost a loyal leader but a hardworking soldier who was kind and upheld servant-leadership,”Imwatok added.

Korogocho residents have termed him as a hardworking person who ensured their wellness.

“He was a hardworking and dignified leader for the period he has served us. He lived to what he promised during his campaign. We will surely miss him,” said a resident.
