Nairobi gubernatorial hopeful Richard Ngatia has reaffirmed his support to Azimio la Umoja and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
While attending the bukhungu declaration today in Kakamega county Mr Richard Ngatia showed his Solid support to Azimio la Umoja Movement and vowed to support Raila Odinga presidential bid come 2022 August.
“As a leader of all business in Kenya we have listened to the agendas of Hon Raila Odinga, he means well for this country, he is the only presidential candidate with the heart our business in minds and that’s why we are fully supporting him,” said Ngatia
Mr Ngatia is president of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and it is understood that he has been actively been engaged in the handshake politics albeit behind the scenes.
His articulate and inspirational speech at Bukhungu has left many surprised by his mic skills while speculations begun on why he is being given such an opportunity.
Ngatia who is a heavyweight in the corridors of power is expected to officially launch his bid in January,2022. An insider within Raila Odinga’s ODM party have revealed, that the decision by the party’s Secretary General Edwin Sifuna to declare interest in the Nairobi senate seats complicates the Azimio la Umoja political matrix in the city and could be an indicator that the party is not keen on fielding a candidate but to support Richard Ngatia
