Usawa Kwa Wote Party Leader Mwangi Wa Iria has called out Kenyans to boycott the General Elections if the government does not care about the rising cost of living.

Wa Iria has stated that it is sad to see children die of hunger while the government is concentrated on paying the national debt to the Chinese Government.

He has vowed to lead a nationwide protest against the high cost of living.

“We know that the government is still paying debts to China but surely how do you pay money to a foreigner when children are dying of hunger for heaven’s sake?” he posed.

He asked Kenyans to only vote if the Price of Maize Flour will lower to hundred shillings from the current two hundred and twenty.

“We should all sleep and let the candidates vote for themselves because it will be an injustice you going to vote yet you and your children have slept hungry,” he said.

The Murang’a governor who was speaking to the media after filing a petition seeking to review the price of basic commodities said the government has to do the review to ensure the burden being experienced by many Kenyans is lessened.

“They can jail me, kill me, detain me or harm me if they so wish but Usawa is a movement and I will be fighting for equality until the end,” he said.

His Presidential bid flopped after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for not meeting the set requirements.

In his quest to petition against the Commission, the second-term governor wants Chief Justice Martha Koome to give him a fair hearing.

“I want to argue my case and I will do that all the way to the Supreme Court and if I lose at there I will raise my hands and I will say there is justice in Kenya. But I am not going to let go even if I campaign for only a day if I am allowed I will proceed,” he said.
