About 100 families spent night in cold following demolition of their houses in Upendo slum Langata Sub-county by Nairobi Metropolitan Services NMS.
Moses Adama told the media that their families were forced to sleep outside after the demolitions that occurred on Wednesday Night.
“The Nairobi Metropolitan Services Bulldozer arrived at around 7.30pm …when we inquired the man in charge did not give us an elaborate answer at around 8.00 pm the police land cruisers arrived and the demolition began at 10 pm with no single notice. “Moses said.
“All our houses are on ground, our families are in cold and our children did not report to school today… This how we spent our Mashujaa Day.” he added.

“As we speak the member of parliament Hon Korir is not yet here .. we have not reached our MCA his phone was not going through but we still want to appeal to them to come on ground and assess the situation… everyone one here do not have place to sleep, what to eat and how to start a new life.” Moses told the media.
