Socialite and entrepreneur Vera Sidika, has redefined the meaning of giving birth in absolute luxury.
Yesterday, Vera welcomed her baby girl, Asia Brown at the Nairobi Hospital. She secured a private room that comes with various perks like a bath tab, a lounge, spacious room among other amenities.
Most Kenyan women associate maternity rooms with pain and strife. Not Vera Sidika. It was an opportunity to slay. A mini-vacay.
“After a successful surgery and watching my baby come out crying, gosh. Immediately I spoke to her she stayed quiet she knows her mother’s voice from the womb days. I cannot wait to share those videos someday,” Vera gushed on her Instagram stories.
In another mini clip, Vera is being wheeled back to her room after the surgery and she confesses,
“Whoever said CS surgery was so bad and very painful lied. I felt zeeeero pain, Imagine. I swear to God; it was the best decision ever!!! This is me right after surgery.”
“My family is surprised I’m awake and very active right after surgery. My mom is happier than everyone,” added Vera.
To enjoy the lap of luxury, Vera and Brown had to fork out good money.
The Nairobi Hospital has packages for antenatal, labor and maternity services. For Antenatal, Vera probably chucked out Ksh 60,000.
The Caesarean Section package goes for a whooping Ksh 190,000.

Deluxe Suite – Ksh 45,000 per day
Premier Suite – Ksh 65,000 per day
Presidential Suite – Ksh 98,000 per day
