Nairobi County Government together with the NMS have finally installed the Raila Odinga Way Road Sign.
On Tuesday 12th October 2021 the county Assembly passed a motion sponsored by the Minority Chief Whip Honorable Peter Imwatok, On renaming of Mbagathi way to Rt Raila Odinga. In the motion, the County Assembly resolved to rename Mbagathi way in Kibera Constituency.
The assembly did this in honor of what Raila has done for the growth of the Kenya as a country, including his championing for good governance, democratic space and development of infrastructure.
Speaking with K24 Digital after the installation of the post Minority Chief Whip Peter Imwatok expressed his joy and thanked the Executive and the NMS for doing it with speed.
He has assured that the official launch of the road will be held next week after the CASA events being held in Mombasa this week.
“Yes am happy to receive information that the NMS and entire county government of Nairobi is on this matter and according to the information there are preparing the ground for the official launch next week,” Hon Imwatok said.
