Nairobi County Assembly has now written to County Government of Nairobi to move with speed and implement the renaming of Mbagathi Way to Raila Odinga road as passed by the Assembly of Nairobi.
“On Tuesday 12th October 2021 the county Assembly passed a motion sponsored by honorable Peter Imwatok, On renaming of Mbagathi way to Rt Raila Odinga. In the motion, the County Assembly resolved to rename Mbagathi way in Kibera Constituency…” Read part of the letter.
The assembly did this in honor of what Raila has done for the growth of the Kenya as a country, including his championing for good governance, democratic space and development of infrastructure.
“this is therefore to forward to you the motion as passed by the Assembly for your action…” it continued.
After the unanimous pass of the motion, a section of the MCA’s said they will champion for the renaming of the nearby facilities around the road to Raila Amollo Odinga.
