PS, State Department for Social Protection, Mr. Nelson Marwa says that the move will only target those who are not in the system and not a fresh registration of all persons with disability

The statement says that a total of 290 enumerators have already been shortlisted to carry out the retargeting exercise. Enumerators will undertake the listing and registration exercise for households traced and that meet the criteria for PwSD programme. Disability Services Officers, Children Officers and Social Development Officers in the 47 counties will also assist in the exercise.

The Government is advising care givers to acquire the necessary documents for the exercise i.e., Kenyan national ID, birth certificate and a passport photograph of the person with severe disability.
