Gakuyo leads Jubilee leaders in support of Ruto, Gachagua

Former Thika parliamentary aspirant David Gakuyo led of team of Jubilee and Kanu leaders in declaring support for the Kenya Kwanza government.

The leaders met and addressed the Journalist on Thursday where they rallied their supporters to support Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua.

Others who attended include Former governor James Nyoro, Damaris Waiganjo (Kiambaa) Stephen Kigathi (Kikuyu), Joyce Ngugi (Gatundu South), and a host of Members of the County Assembly who lost.

Speaking, David Gakuyo said that Ruto needs to be supported to ensure he serves Kenyans better.

He said that the Kenya kwanza government is still in the early stages and thus should be accorded the support that it needs.

He urged Kenyans to support the government of the day noting that demonstrations recently organized by Raila Odinga aren’t healthy.

Former governor James Nyoro said that he is ready to respect the Ruto administration and urged his supporters to follow suit.

“We need peace in Kiambu and we will also reach out to other leaders and urge them to support the government of the day, ‘Nyoro said.

Former deputy governor Joyce Ngugi echoed Nyoro’s sentiments and said that Kenya is large compared to an individual.

Last week, More than 300 clerics in Thika led by Bishop David Ngari alias Gakuyo urged Raila to stop the call for mass action over a petition to oust four IEBC commissioners.

Gakuyo added that the church cannot afford to go against a legally constituted government.

He termed Ruto a hero, saying that Kalonzo and Raila have left their supporters in the cold while they push for their selfish agendas.

“We will not allow a few selfish leaders like Raila Odinga to destroy our nation, we are now fully behind William Ruto who was chosen by God to lead this nation,” Gakuyo said.
