There is a looming battle at Nairobi County Assembly after a section of MCAs came out in defence of Governor Anne Kananu.
This comes just a day after a different faction of MCAs yesterday castigated governor Ann Kananu on how she is running city affairs, following allegations of corruption and incompetence.
Led by Imara Daima representative, the legislators faulted their colleagues saying there are country structuers to solve the allegations they levelled against Governor Kananu.
“It is not the responsibility of MCAs to check on how, when and where members of the executive socialize. We reprimand the said members to apologize to the constitutional office,” stated Obuya.
One group had accused kananu of embezzling county funds linking her to the two county officials who were arrested in Dubai over money laundering claims.
