A 35-year-old man is being held by the Police in Kakamega after being alleged of killing his 60-year-Old Mother. On Wednesday last week the mother is reported to have intervened a fight with his brother.
According to the report by Director of Criminal Investigation Makomere Shikokongo 35, John Omoro,25 and Joseph Amakobe,40 had on Wednesday turned their mother’s compound into a battlefield, where they physically went for each other’s throat over unknown issue.
“A fight between three unreasonable brother turned tragic when their mother tried to prevail upon them to stop fighting. But one of her sons who did not take her actions kindly, kicked her sending her on the ground a few meters away and continued facing off with his brothers,” reads the report by DCI.
The incident is said to have happened when their father Paul Shikokongo was away from home.
The report further shows that the mother later loss her life a day after following injuries she encountered.
The 60 year old is reported to have died in her house after complaining body aches after the attack as she was not taken to hospital for medical attention.
The suspect is in police custody for the offence of murder awaiting to be arraigned in court probably next Tomorrow.
