Most of them demand that we stop airing the protest I wonder where our independence as Media will stand by stopping covering these protests,” Allan Told Taarifa News.

“On Monday when covering the demos at Makina area we were approached by the pro-government goons from the {Nubians Community } who roughed us up,they stole our phones, recorders, money, tripod and camera.” he added.

Meanwhile the media Council of Kenya   has condemn the attack on journalists demanding prompt action against those threatening the freedom of the media.

“Attacks on journalists during demonstrations are a serious concern and must be condemned by all those who value press freedom and democracy. “It is essential that journalists are able to carry out their work without fear of violence or harassment, and that law enforcement agencies are held accountable for any actions that violate their rights or impede their ability to report on events.” Media Council CEO David Omwoyo said in a statement.
