*Water Committee Want Umojo Sewer Menance Addressed*
Nairobi Assembly water Committee have today grilled Nairobi City Water and Sewage Company managing director Nahasion Muguna over the Consistent flooding and clogging of sewage in the area.
The committee through Chairman Redson Otieno also wanted to understand the long term solution to sewer menance in Umoja.
“Mr. Muguna we have statement by Hon Shadrack Machanje on the sewer menance in Umoja ..what the water Committee is looking for is you to respond and address conclusively to the issues raised..the committee is a watchdog and we will not allow our people to suffer.” Redson said on the onset of the meeting.
According Muguna the Consistent flooding of sewer in Umoja two is as a result of encouragement by developers.
“We have been in Umoja and the problem is encroachment ,we shall be divert the same as a temporary measure.” Muguna said.
