The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has been urged to move fast and quell the emerging fractions and differences in the party.

Langata politician and ODM die-hard Johnson Oduk has advised that leaders in the party must refrain from making unnecessary declarations that have not been sanctioned by the party.

While commenting on the feud between Nairobi Senator and Makadara MP George Aladwa,Oduk said the fight as it is for now is unnecessary and called on all leaders to read the mood of the party leader.

” The mood and direction given by the de facto party leader Raila Odinga should be the guiding principle for all of us but anything contrary to that is self seeking and unnecessary,” he said.

He called on the party’s hierarchy and top leadership to speak boldly on critical issues threatening to split the party due to second guessing.

” Those who are close to the party leader know the direction the party is taking and no avenue for second guessing should be left,” he added

He has called for calm and refocusing on the 2027 elections through strategic planning that will help the party retain its superiority as the country’s longest serving and biggest wheeler political movement.
