Recently, Waqo participated in a cross-denominational gathering held at the Marsabit Stadium in Marsabit County. The event, spearheaded by local pastors led by Bishop Qampicha Wario, aimed to raise funds for the translation of the Bible. The presence of esteemed guests, including Hon. Ndindi Nyoro as the chief guest, added significance to the occasion.
The gathering was graced by notable figures such as Governor Mohamud M. Ali, Hon. Joseph Lekuton – MP for Laisamis, Hon. Ali Wario – MP for Garsen, Hon. Jematiah Sergon – Woman Representative for Baringo, Hon. Rehema Jaldesa – CAS, and Hon. Jack Elisha, among others. Also in attendance were nominated MCAs Miriam and Ebise Roba, alongside members of the Christian community.
