IEBC has missed their target of voter registration by more than 2Million for the second week.
IEBC were looking for 3Million voters by the end of the second week but have only managed to get a total of 491,000.
Here are the top most 5 counties leading with newly registered and the bottom five.In Nairobi the IEBC registrered 43,137 voters against its target of 366, 284. The total of those registered during the period accoounts for 12 percent.
While in Nakuru, the IEBC, which targetted at least 152,692 new voters only managed to register 13 percent- registering 19, 694 people.
In Bungoma only 17,079 new voters were registered, against a target of 90,968 while in Kilifi, only 16,439 new voters were registered, against a target of 83,091. Elsewhere, in Kakamega, the IEBC which targetted to register some 121,338 new voters only managed 16,952, representing a measly 14%.
Isiolo and Lamu made it to the list of counties with the lowest count of new voters who registered ahead of the 2022 polls.
From a target of 12,247 new voters, the IEBC only managed to register 2,001 new voters in Isiolo while in Lamu, the IEBC registered 2,248 new voters against a target of 11,342.
In Laikipia, the electoral commision hoped to register 40,116 but only managed to enroll 3,886 new voters.
In Tharaka Nithi and Samburu, the IEBC targetted to register 34,693 and 13,530 new voters but only managed 4,211 and 4,248 new voters respectively.
