Gor Unshaken In Mashemeji Derby

Gor Mahia have extended their unbeaten run of Mashemeji Derby since 2016 with a one nil over AFC leopards in the FKF Premier League at Kasarani yesterday.


Gor’s Boniface Omondi Scored the winning goal in the first half after a capitalizing mistake by Maxwell Mulili the goalkeeper.
This is Boniface’s first goal as he started his campaign this season.

Leopards could have levelled matters before half time when Marvin Nabwire combined well with Musa Saad who fed Peter Thiong’o to force goalkeeper Adama Keita to making a fine save.

Leopards looked stronger with the frontline of Brian Wanyama, Saad Musa and Peter Thiong’o causing lots of trouble for Keita.

The defeat leaves Leopards head coach Aussems with work to do with the a number of players namely Kepha Aswani and Cliff Nyakeya being linked with them to add experience on the youthful dominated side.

Gor will next play Al Ahly Merowe of Sudan in the CAF Confederations Cup while Leopards are expected to travel to Mombasa to play hosts Bandari in the league.
