Interior CS Fred Matiang’i has hit out at Deputy President William Ruto saying that he is a disgrace to the government he is supposed to be serving.
Speaking at a funds drive in aid of Mwongori Secondary School in Nyamira County this afternoon, where Raila Odinga was Chief Guest, Matiang’i said Ruto is speaking from both sides of his mouth and should desist from that.
Matiang’i has also said from today he will be supporting the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
He asked the Tanga Tanga brigade to stop threatening Kenyans and instead focus on how the country will move forward.
Matiang’i has asked the Kisii people to rally behind Odinga as he is the one who will form the next government and that the Gusii people need not to be left behind and outside of the next government.
Moved to tears, Raila on his part promised to walk and work with all the Gusii leaders especially fred Matiang’i so as to bign about the desired change in the country.
The two shook hands and promised to work together henceforth. Matiang’i was accompanied by Health CS Kagwe, Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa, Kisii Gov James Ongwae, Nyamira Gov Nyaribo amongst others.
