Dagoretti North Shines as President Ruto Applauds School Infrastructure

President William Ruto has commended the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) for making significant strides in improving education infrastructure in Dagoretti North Constituency.

During his inspection tour, the president expressed satisfaction with the construction of 16 new classrooms and a modern laboratory at Fatima Primary School. He also officially unveiled the Gatina Junior Tuition Block and inspected the newly built laboratory and four additional classrooms at Nairobi Primary School.

Addressing residents in Kawangware, President Ruto praised the efforts of Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi, noting that the projects align with the government’s commitment to enhancing education facilities in Nairobi. He acknowledged that the improved learning environment would provide students with better opportunities to excel academically.

MP Elachi highlighted the impact of the NG-CDF in transforming schools across the constituency. Among the completed projects are 18 new classrooms at Kawangware Primary School and eight classrooms at Lavington Primary and Secondary Schools, which also saw the construction of a dining hall and ground carpeting. Gatina Primary School now boasts 16 classrooms and a laboratory, while Muslim School received a fully equipped lab. St. George’s Primary School benefited from the construction of an ablution block and four classrooms, while State House Primary School gained four new classrooms. Additionally, Kilimani Primary School now has a multipurpose hall and three new classrooms, while Kileleshwa and Riruta Primary Schools have been secured with perimeter walls.

The Gatina Chief’s Camp was also equipped with improved facilities, and various other schools in the constituency received upgrades. Elachi assured residents that she would continue lobbying for the completion of all projects promised by the president, including plans to revamp local markets and support schools with transportation through the provision of school buses.

With a total of 29 schools in the constituency benefiting from NG-CDF support, the education transformation in Dagoretti North is expected to create a more conducive learning environment and empower students to achieve academic excellence.
