Nairobi City County Assembly Majority Leader Peter Imwatok has ushered the new year with much to deliver to city residents saying Assembly under his leadership will strive to make life better for the residents.
Wrecked by high cost of living,Imwatok says Nairobians deserve better.
He criticized the National Government for for not caring about Wanjiku.
“To Nairobians and the nation at large I want to first take this opportunity to wish all of you a Prosperous 2024 even as we struggle to make end meet.It has been a difficult year for us especially the mama mboga,bodaboda people and our unemployed youths, there was no smile on our faces during this festive season because money is not in our pockets,the economy has detoriated and you have nothing to cling on.The Nairobi Assembly leadership will ensure we better your lives by playing oversight role on the County government and much more.They must account for each penny they spent.” Imwatok said in his new year statement.
He further called on Azimio MCAs to be vigilant and ensure they deliver to Nairobians.
“We must strive at all times to work for our people..hao ndio wadosi…” He added.
The firebrand MCA is currently chairing the ad hoc committee on revenue collection Nairobi City County.
