Former Miss tourism Lamu, Jeniffer Wairimu Waruingi popularly known as Waridi has conceded defeat in the MCA election in Hongwe ward Lamu County.
Waridi who was vying on a United Green Movement ticket congratulated her opponent asking him to deliver to the citizens of the ward.
Our win has been postponed to a later date. Congratulations Hon Mburu for the lead, I wish you the very best, please Make Hongwe the best, and may You deliver your promises to Hongwe people,” Waridi stated.
In an interview with Taarifa News Waridi called out her team to support Mburu stating she will always be here ready to support him and work together.
“We will work together and I will always be ready to support women and girls as I have done before. To my Hongwe people let’s work with Mburu and give him the support he will require,” she added.
Waridi who is the wife to K24 Tv correspondent for Lamu County Ibrahim Muhoro came into the limelight when she won the Miss Lamu title in 2016.
In 2021, she was again in the limelight after she was seen relaxing in Shella with Omar Lai.
Waridi was hoping to use her influence as a celebrity to make Hongwe the best and improve the lives of the people.
