WARC Recognizes Ogilvy Africa as Sub-Sahara Africa’s Most Creative Agency, outside of South Africa.

Nairobi -based brand communications company, Ogilvy Africa, has been named among the Top 10 creative powerhouses in the continent. Ranked 9th In Africa by the World Advertising Research Center (WARC), Ogilvy Africa Is the only agency In Kenya and the entire Sub-Saharan Africa region outside of South Africa appearing in the top 10 ranking.

This ranking was part of WARC’s annual Creative 100 ranking of the most creative agencies, networks, and campaigns in the world, released earlier in the week. The WARC Creative 100 is the definitive benchmark for creative success based on results from the most prestigious global and regional industry competitions.

Commenting on the recognition, Vikas Mehta, Ogilvy Africa CEO, said: “This Is a moment for us to pause, and reflect on what we’ve just done. It is a good moment to re-commit ourselves to the goal of being the agency that puts Africa on the world map.”

Over the last 12 months, Ogilvy Africa’s creativity was awarded at several international awards Including Loeries, London International Awards, D & AD and the region’s first ever Gold Lion at the Cannes Lions Festival. “Ogilvy Africa won more global awards in the last 12 months, than in our entire existence as a company. These rankings are a direct outcome of that,” added Vikas.

Two other Ogilvy offices, Ogilvy Johannesburg and Ogilvy Cape Town also featured In the ranking at position four and seven respectively. Globally, Ogilvy was named by WARC as the most creative agency network in the world for the third consecutive year.

The WARC Creative 100 is a ranking of the world’s most awarded campaigns and companies for creativity. It tracks the results of creative award shows around the world, and acts as a benchmark for creative excellence, allowing marketers to compare their performance with that of their peers.
