Nairobi County Nominee for Chief Officer Finance Asha Abdi has a net worth of ksh 39 million.
Asha, a former chief officer of Finance for Kenya’s Second largest City Mombasa county has attributed that her net worth includes her cash and assets.
She made the revelation during the vetting before the Nairobi County Assembly Finance, Budget, and Appropriation Committee.
“I am worth ksh 39Million which includes finance and Assets,” she stated
If given the post, Asha has promised to increase the revenue of the City County to 30 billion in the first two years that she will serve.
“it is during my tenure as chief in Mombasa that the revenue collection was digitalized where it can now be even via an sms Code and Mobile App. The revenue increased to 4Billion which is a good rise,” Asha stated.
“I am an and authentic with diverse in unlocking opportunities for innovation and growth,” she added.
On pending bills for Nairobi, Asha stated that has beilieve Nairobi is caoable of raising more than 19 Billion which has always been the target of the City County through unpopular and unique solutions that she will bring.
“Pending bill is a problem that cuts across many City County Governments. Nairobi seems to be having a huge one of approximately 99 Billion which huge. One approach might not work and i have several solutions which include, verifying the pending bills. I have also long-term and short-term which will still solve it,” she stated.
“if we rely on exchecker, we might not be able to accomplish it hence unique solutions which i have will help to solve the pending . The revenue of the county will need to be increased from 7Billion 19Billion which has been the target always and I believe Nairobi can do more than 19Billion,” she added.
Asha has promised to work closely together with other nominees if her nomination goes through and she gets the post.
It is during her tenure as the Acting Chief Officer for County Chief Officer for Trade, Tourism, and Investment former Mombasa Hassan Joho bagged the award of being the most Business friendly Governor through her help.
Asha brings to Nairobi her ten years of expert and knowledge in the field of
Public Finance and Management in the Public sector having served in Isiolo and Mombasa Counties.
