The 2024 Oktobafest kicked off on a high note in Nairobi and Eldoret over the weekend with activations at Enkare, Kitengela, and Timba XO, Eldoret that doubled as a celebration of beer and culture as well as a tribute to our national heroes.
Revelers at both locations were treated to an elaborate beer and culture festival featuring KBL’s rich portfolio of beers and live performances by top music acts, with Les Wanyika taking revelers down memory lane with their soulful performances of timeless hits like Sina Makosa, Nimaru, and Barua Yako among many others and Khaligraph Jones in true OG fashion bringing the house down hit after hit at Timba XO in Eldoret.

Les Wanyika’s performance was a perfect blend of nostalgia and celebration, as both long-time fans and younger ones swayed to their rhythmic beats, savoring the classic Rhumba that has been a staple in Kenyan music for decades.
TBM Band took to the stage after, delivering an energetic performance of contemporary and Afrobeat tunes, the perfect build-up for the evening as beer lovers and Oktobafest fans took the time to sip and enjoy as they sang along to the tunes.
Timba XO served high-energy party vibes with MC Nick the Trend, DJ Pierra, DJ Tibz, and resident DJ Aleckie keeping the party going and the beer flowing as revellers could not get enough of the performances by Vijana Barubaru and Khaligraph Jones.
Attendees also got the chance to interact with their favourite beer brands as the event delivered an intricate brand immersion complete with beer shandies and quizzes to test the reveller’s knowledge of the liquid for a chance to win merchandise.
“Bringing Oktobafest to the regions has turned out to be an amazing experience for both the brand and our consumers. We have enjoyed allowing consumers to show us how they do beer and culture in Nairobi and Eldoret and they have in turn enjoyed a more intimate brand experience tailored to their specific cultural nuances. The reception in the regions has been amazing and we look forward to replicating equally amazing experiences for other regions in the coming weeks.” Brigid Wambua, Senior Brand Manager for Tusker said.
