Traders at Wakulima Market want Governor Johnson Sakaja to sack County employees Ajira Kariuki a revenue collector and Lilian Ouma who is in charge of the market for pocketing county revenue.

Speaking to the Media, the traders alleged that Ajiara Kariuki and Lilian Ouma collect revenue and whenever they reach the target of shs 30,000 daily, they do not bank the surplus.

The traders said that these two officers have been receiving protection from Joyce Kyengo the Director of Trade at City Hall.

They also alleged that they use foul language and are rude to them.

“For Lilian, she has three transfer letters but has declined to go on transfer. She is also being shielded by a senior officer at City Hall who is her boyfriend,” they said.

They added that Kyengo, the director of trade has never taken action against the two despite complaints reaching her office.

The traders went on to say that the officers have also been charging them double what they are supposed to pay and do not remit the cash to the County Accounts.
