The Green Congress of Kenya will monitor both the government and opposition activities in the country’s governance in the new year of 2024.

In a 2024 New Year message, the Green Congress of Kenya party leader Hillary Alila regretted that both the government and the opposition had not delivered much to Kenyans.

Alila has assured Kenyans that the party will fully discharge its mandated role by keeping the government and the opposition in check on their behalf.

Alila emphasized on the party’s collective decision to allow the Kenya Kwanza government to lead the nation while the opposition asserts their influence as a strong opposition movement.

Alila called upon the government to uphold the independence of both the Judiciary and Parliament.

Alila additionally called on the youths to register en masse as members of the Green Congress of Kenya in its current ongoing party members recruitment exercise insisting that the youth are the vanguard of the party.

“We expect Kenyans to register in big numbers as GCK members. If the young resister in large numbers, the party will be strengthened enough to help tackle challenges that have engulfed this country,” Alila said.
