The Safaricom Foundation has launched the KES 130 million TVET support programme in collaboration with the Zizi Afrique Foundation with various TVET institutions receiving millions.

The Foundation refurbished the Waithaka Technical College at a cost of KES 28 million and another 70 students from the Waithaka Technical College receiving accreditation cards from the National Construction Authority.

Safaricom Foundation also supported and equipped several colleges including: Mkwajuni Youth Polytechnic, Gede Polytechnic and Tewa School of Hospitality all in Kilifi County. Mabatini Technical and Training College in Kwale County, Don Bosco Technical College in Kiambu and through Ndoto Zetu, Kanyiriri Polytechnic and Kabete Polytechnic have received.

At Kibondeni college, the foundation had an impactful partnership through brand engagement and the Ndoto Zetu initiative, whereby we donated two ovens that have in turn increased enrolment numbers and boosted the quality of training.

The College is also a beneficiary of the Secondment Program which is facilitating its Agile journey, we believe that through introducing TVETs to agile ways of working we are able to equip the youth with skills to find the most effective way of working.
