Mabatini ward Member of County Assembly Wilfred Oluoch Odalo is among the 6 Nairobi MCAs chosen by Orange Democratic Movement party for a direct ticket.
Odalo is going for his third term and it seems it will be an easy ride thanks to his party ODM.
A source at Chungwa House revealed that Odalo has done well as Public Accounts Committee chairman.
“He took his responsibility seriously as PAC chairman and as Opposition MCA at the assembly …always on board when it’s come to party affairs ..I can assure you we have his names among the six.” Source revealed.
Meanwhile ODM vice chairman Nairobi County Ochieng’ Jera defended the party move saying the six MCAs deserves direct ticket and the party has prerogative to award the loyalists.
“ODM constitution changed and the party now have authority to issue direct tickets so that’s in order.” Jera said.
Other Nairobi MCAs expected to get the direct tickets include MCA Rose Ogonda Kulla of Kware Ward Hon Peter Imwatok (Makongeni), Stazo Omungala (Upper Savana), Moses Ogeto (Kilimani ward) and Cecilia Ayot of Laini Saba ward.
