NGO Council Chairman Calls Kenyans To Register As Voters

NGO Council Stephen Cheboi has called on Kenyans to register as voters in this second and las phase of IEBC Mass voter registration.

According to Cheboi, this is the only way they will ensure competent leaders will be elected.

He urged the youths who have recently acquired IDs to ensure they are registered to determine the fure of the country.

“The young people who recently acquired IDs to register as voters so that they can participate in determining the future of the nation during the upcoming elections The future of Kenya lies with voters since the voting cards will determine the future leaders of the nation, said Cheboi.

Kenyans below 35 years constitute the highest percentage of voters in the country who should promptly register to decide the next president and other leaders in August 2022.



According to the council, this time voters and other older citizens must stop voter apathy by taking advantage of this last phase to enroll as voters when IEBC opens its centers countrywide from January 17th 2022.



“As the Country prepares for the 2022 General Elections to be held on 9th August 2022 we urge all Kenyans who have not registered as Voters to take advantage of the opportunity granted by IEBC from Monday 17th January 2022,” added Cheboi.
