The Non-Governmental Organization Council has called on the National government to help the families suffering in hunger and drought.

The council has asked good Samaritans to come out and help the 2Million families which have been reported to be affected by drought and made them lack food and even die in hunger.

“As NGO Council of Kenya we call on the Government and other stakeholders to come into aid of families facing starvation in some parts of our country. Some counties in ASAL regions have reported humanitarian challenges as result of food deficit,” said Cheboi.

Recent reports have indicated that a majority of Kenyans in the Arid and Semi Arid Areas are suffering from drought with their animals dying in large numbers.
