The Kenya Muslim Leaders Consultative Forum leaders (KMLCF) have endorsed Jubilee Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Polycarp Igathe.
KMLCF promised to rally Nairobi Muslim Community to vote for Igathe, exuding confidence that the Igathe ticket together with his running mate Philip Kaloki will emerge victorious.
Addressing the media on Tuesday, the Caucus’ National Chairman Dr Hassan Kinyua Omari described Polycarp Igathe as the right candidate with no questionable characters.
“The greatest mistake is that we elected an incompetent person in 2017. Cant we see how he ruined Nairobi. He was surrounded by most dangerous corrupt individuals. This is due to lack of intellectuality in him. He could not even notice when funds were stolen for he had no managerial skills. Do we want to do the same mistake?”
“Corruption has collapsed service delivery in Nairobi. This is due to corrupt official who are controlling City Hall with the few cartels. They supply air and get oaid millions of shillings living county government workers unpaid for their sweat.”
Dr Hassan Kinyua futher urged Kenyans to stop defending cartel and thieves even when they belong to their tribe or religion.
“Let us all vote clean people who will save us all. eaten this regime like leprosy in the sectors of the government. When we defend cartels and thieves because they are our tribesmen we all suffer. Corruption is cancer we must treat it by ejecting thieves. . All Kenyans must say no to corruption” he added
Dr Hassan Kinyua Omari Dr Hassan Kinyua Omari further asks the relevant authorities like the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to ensure that in future no politician is cleared to run for any position if their academic qualifications are questionable.
‘The said people with questionable academic credentials need to drop out and get back to class. It is also amazing that someone failed to finish his studies in Kenya and rushed to a neighboring country to get questionable certificates.’ Dr Hassan said.
On their sides Mzee Salim Abdalla, the Patron National Peace Consortium, Bhudhists in Kenya representative Kadioli Mwanzi and NUMCA National Women Leader Zulekha Abdi appeled to Kenyans and especially the political class to ensure the country remains peacefull during and affeter elections.
They said politicians have the greatest responsibility of ensuring the country is peaceful as we head to the August polls.
Ms Zulekha offered that in case of a crisis, it is women who suffer the most and asked women to support each other during the elections.
