Kenya has received 358,200 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines from Canada.
The package was received today morning by Health Principal Secretary Susan Mochache.
According to the PS, over 3.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been received in the country as of today, adding that Kenya expects an assortment of 4.6 million more doses in the coming weeks.
“All these will be key in our commitment to vaccinate at least 10 million Kenyans by end of December,” said the PS.
The expected assortment of vaccines includes doses of Johnson & Johnson, which the Kenyan government paid the African Union to secure them, and are set to arrive in the country from tomorrow.
Other vaccines include Moderna from the US, Sinopharm from China and Pfizer from the US.
