Makongeni MCA Peter Imwatok has issued 4.4 million shillings bursary funds to 700 needy students in his ward.
According to Imwatok the money will benefit the needy who can not afford school fees.
“We are today happy to do this and my office will ensure every needy student in this ward get bursary…the process was very fair and we are happy that our children can now smile again as they continue with their studies.” Imwatok said..
He asked parents to be vigilant and report headteachers who are insisting that they have not received funds from county government.
“Parents whenever headteacher tells you that there is no bursary fund in their school account then alert us we shall take action immediately against that schools because some of this school heads are not honest. ” He said .
