A middle aged man from Kibra has been charged for assaulting four-year old stepson.
The man identified as Patrick has been accused of mistreating the child at home for a number times when the his is not at home.
He was charged at Kibra law courts and remanded at Industrial Area prison as police continues with the investigations.
According to Kibra Children officer Humphrey Lando the suspects’ n neighbour tipped them and they mobilized police officers and nabbed him at his house in Mwembeni.
“We found the child on the floor with injuries on her body parts a clear indicator that she was assaulted,” he said.
Meanwhile the child has been treated at Kwa DC hospital and she is under government’s care.
“We are still assisting the police with investigations but the court has directed that we keep and take care of the child untill this matter is concluded.” He added.
