KARA to Hold Debate for Nairobi Gubernatorial Aspirants

The Kenya Alliance of Residents Association will be holding a debate for all Nairobi Gubernatorial aspirants tomorrow 17th June.

Seasoned journalist Denise A.O.Kodhe is among the aspirants who have confirmed their attendance to the debate.
This debate will allow aspirants to speak about their vision and plans for Nairobi County when elected Governor and also allow Nairobians to question and challenge them.

Speaking to the media Kodhe has commended KARA for the initiative saying that the forum will give candidates opportunity to speak to the Nairobians who are the electorate and also to articulate issues affecting the people of Nairobi.

“Leadership is not just about an opportunity but more about integrity, articulation and actual performance.It is not about dishing positions to an individual or individuals but more to about service delivery to the people,” said Mr.Kodhe.

Kodhe further Warned Nairobians of leaders who are political projects because they do not have the cities interest at heart.

“Nairobi as a capital city has a lot of challenges which needs fixing and this can only be done by independent and committed leadership and not political projects of certain political kingpins or individuals,” he added.

Other aspirants expected in the debate include Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja,Polycarp Igathe ,Agnes Kagure, Kenneth Nyamwamu and Nancy Wambui.
