Jumia consumers are set to enjoy free shopping below Ksh 300 and have it delivered at a small fee to any address in the country.
The move is aimed at encouraging more consumers to try e-commerce & discover a rewarding online shopping experience.
“We welcome all Kenyans to download the Jumia App, and pick a product below Ksh 300 for free (you only pay shipping). To get the best value, select a pick up station near you. E -commerce plays an important role in giving people access to basic and essential products at fair prices. We want more & more people to experience the service & see the convenience for themselves,” said Jumia CEO Sam Chappatte.
This will help eliminate the perceived online buying barriers and encourage consumers to ‘Try Jumia for Free’.
Unlike in the past, when such campaigns were limited to Nairobi, all consumers across the country will benefit this time round.
E-commerce can bring daily solutions, convenience and competitive pricing to support communities and offer reliefs to individuals from both convenience and discounts.
This shift is part of a broader economic transformation led by the continent’s young, urban and tech-savvy population.
