Inua Mama CEO Enters The Political Arena

Inua maisha ya mama mashina Jenga Taifa  Chief Executive Officer Gladys ChepKorir has declared her interest to unseat  Mombasa Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Mkomani ward Kizito Okoth Opeya during the August polls.  

She said she is ready to battle it out with other aspirants to get a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket during the party primaries ahead of the polls.

“I am confident of winning the seat after getting the UDA nomination during the primaries which are scheduled for March,” she pointed out.

Gladys said she had already initiated a lot of projects in the area before venturing into active politics.

She spoke when she received a rousing welcome from residents on her arrival at her residence in Nyali constituency, Mombasa county from a business trip.

The Inua maisha ya mama mashina Jenga Taifa Chief Executive Officer said she will vie for the MCA seat in line with the party’s slogan.

Gladys who was flanked by UDA Presidential coordinator Mombasa county Mildred Odinga told the media she does not want to vie for any higher position because she wants to begin from the grassroots.

She reiterated that her track record speaks more than words and that is why she has ventured into elective politics.      

“My priority at the moment is to shift gears from women to youths and the elderly people,” she pointed out.

TheInua maisha ya mama mashina Jenga Taifa Chief Executive Officer said she is ready to economically  empower youths and women and to stop them relying on handouts from politicians.

Gladys cautioned the electorate to vote for leaders with a good development record and not those who make  pledges and promises ahead of the polls.      

In her welcome remarks Mildred said apart from being the party presidential coordinator she is also working under Inua maisha ya mama mashina Jenga Taifa initiative. 

She pointed out the ward’s electorate have organized to welcome back Gladys from her trip due to her development initiatives.

“The party applauds her stand and passion for UDA despite the area being an ODM stronghold.
