Today at 3pm Mathaare United will be back for the league matches at Ruaraka grounds after a short break.

They will be playing with in form Gor Mahia who have won their past five games with Mathare failing to record a win in their past five games.

Their coach Frank Ouna says; “the games came in thick and fast when I was appointed. I believed we played three matches in a stretch of eight days. In such a short time I could not coach the team in a way that I wanted.”

The 2008 KPL winners are on the red zone and are looking to put up a fight.

The last two weeks have come in handy because we have because we have been able to look at different schemes and get everyone involved. We were unfortunate to play three friendlies that have gone a long way in helping us prepare for the game,” he added.

Mathare will be playing without their defender, David Ochieng who was suspended.

“we started the season badly with Gor but they managed to change their situation faster and are now running for another league title. They have shown as that it is possible to change our fortunes,” he said.
